Gnome birthday card

So sorry I haven't posted anything for a few weeks.
Here's a card I made rather quickly using a cute colored digi from Beccy's Place.
This fellow is supposed to be holding a lantern, but I replaced it with a little sign.  His hat and nose and the sign are popped but the photo didn't capture that.

Christmas birthdays

Yesterday I posted a baby shower card because there will be 3 new babies in the family right around the holidays.  Today I'm posting a birthday card because there are an awful lot of family birthdays around the holidays, too.  This seems to be poor planning.  I know because my son was born on January 12th and I looked and felt like a beached whale for the entire holiday season.

I envisioned this as a 1 layer card.  It's only 5 if you count the snowflakes.

This fun stamped image is from Whimsy Stamps.
After stamping, I masked the image and the area and sponged it in the sea glass blue. The image was colored with markers, with dots of Liquid Pearls and Sparkles.  Then I added the die cut frame around it.

Christmas babies

Our extended family is expecting 3 new babies early in January.
I've been busy working on a little crocheted blanket for the only boy in the bunch.  I finally finished it last evening and made the card today.  Good thing, because the baby shower is only days away.

The quilted horse is a digi image from Beccy's Place.  It was pre-colored, so all I had to do was fussy cut it.

Challenges:
Simon Says Monday Challenge - "B" is for .... blue, baby, buttons, blanket
4 Crafty Chicks Challenge #432 - Ribbon (in tag) and Bows (in button)

One of the little girls, expected January 3rd, will be my second great-granddaughter.
I'll share a photo when she arrives.

Beccy's Month of Holiday Cards Day 30

This is my final card for the 6th Annual Month of Holiday Cards Challenge at Beccy's Place.
Yesterday, I bought the postage stamps to mail all my cards.

The final theme is Do What You Love
I love using digi images, fussy cutting, embossing and ribbons.

Congratulations, Beccy!  You have exceeded last year's entries by over 100 cards.
Thank You, Beccy! You have faithfully visited my blog and left kind comments about each and every card I entered and, I imagine, everyone else's cards, too.

Merry Christmas, Beccy!
and may you have a Happy New Year!

Beccy's Month of Holiday Cards Day 29

My apologies for my lack of creativity today, Day 29 of Beccy's Place Month of Holiday Cards Challenge, "Z" day.   I could have made a red and green striped zebra, or a zebra background in festive colors.
Last year I made a zipper card.
This year I've made a simple z-fold card.

That's a digital image from the Beccy's Place Shop,
colored with markers and pencils.
The inside sentiment is another of Beccy's digis.

Tomorrow is the last day for this fun challenge.
We are out of letters.
I can't wait to see what the theme will be.

Beccy's Month of Holiday Cards Day 28

There are only 3 more days in
and 2 remaining letters of the alphabet.
For today I've made a "Y" card.

"Y" is for yellow, yule, and yarn.
The snowman with ornament is another of Beccy's digital images.
That leaves a "Z" card challenge and a mystery challenge.

Challenges:

A Thank You + some

Beccy's Month of Holiday Cards Challenge has really been keeping me busy.  In between making Christmas cards for that challenge, I've forgotten to post some other items,
that's the "+some" part of this post.

First, I made this Thank You card yesterday.  I'm not going to mail it.  It will go in the box for the veterans to use.  But, I'm certain the person who I had in mind when I made it will know the thought is very much for her.

Here comes the "+some" part of the post.....
For those of you who follow my blog, you may remember that I was searching everywhere for a certain embossing folder.
I finally found it at CraftStash.
(Apple Blossom All Occasion Embossing Folder Dotty Floral EFOB0056)
I used it on the card above, but here is a better picture of what it looks like.
It's a 6x6 folder, fits easily through my Cuttlebug, but allows me to use it for either a vertical or horizontal card.

I promised my Red Hat gals a Christmas card class before the holidays.  Getting that ready was also keeping me from some normal blog posting.  The class was yesterday and I thought I'd show you what we made.

Now, I still have a few things to put away from yesterday's class before I head over to Joyce's to make some CTMH cards.
I have also been remiss in photographing and sharing the cards I've made with my gal pals around Joyce's craft table.
Bear with me, I'll try to catch up another day.

Beccy's Month of Holiday Cards: Day 24

Beccy's Place Month of Holiday Cards Challenge has reached the letter "u".  An appropriate letter since my computer is currently being very uncooperative.

Here are two cards I've made using some of Beccy's images from the Tied Up With Strings digital set.

The first card features 3 of the images, wooden spoon and spatula or kitchen utensils, mistletoe and candy canes from the set.  I random stamped the snowflakes on the background to make it a bit more Christmasy.
My second card just uses the utensils image.
The cookie paper and washi tape are of unknown origin
and the panels are of unequal lengths.

Beccy's Month of Holiday Cards: Day 22

I thought I was all set for today's card for Beccy's Place Month of Holiday Cards Challenge.  Following the alphabet, I had a "T" card made and ready to post.  After all, it is Thanksgiving and my crafty stuff has been tucked away so we have a place to eat.  And then Beccy pulled out a little bonus challenge for today instead.
She wants us to CASE an old card.

Here is the card I just made for  Day # 22, 2018.

Beccy's Month of Holiday Cards: Day 19

We are arriving at some of the more difficult letters of the alphabet at Beccy's Month of Holiday Cards Challenge.
For example, the letter "Q".
Beccy's Quilted Deer digital image is perfect for this challenge.
For my first card, I paired the precolored image with a quilted embossing folder for a quick and easy card.

For my second card, I paired the same image with a quilted die.

This second card was inspired by one I saw on the
I have never been quite sure what to do with pieced quilts.  They are usually square and if you are not making a square card you have that empty space....  But I liked the way the Farmhouse Memories card had a collection of instruments in one corner, just partially covering the quilt.

Beccy's Month of Holiday Cards: Day 17

Sometimes things don't turn out the way you planned, but that's not always a bad thing.  For today's "O" theme at Beccy's Month of Holiday Cards Challenge, I colored one of Beccy's beautiful digital Christmas ornaments a nice bright red.  Then I added a piece of glitter foil and it became a gorgeous, glittery orange ornament.  But orange starts with "o", so I'm good with it.

Beccy's Month of Holiday Cards: Day 14

In Australia it is already November 14th and at Beccy's Place Month of Holiday Cards the challenge letter  is "L".

This Christmas Lantern was a free digital image from Beccy over 7 years ago.  There are four paper layers to this card, but I drew red lines to make it appear as though there were six.

Thanks for stopping by my blog.
It's always nice to get company!

Beccy's Month of Holiday Cards: Day 13

Beccy's Month of Holiday Cards Challenge is already up to the letter "k".  I am using kraft paper, a kraft border and the Three Kings precolored digital image from Beccy's Nativity set today.

Double Trouble Challenge #14 Card 3

This is my third card* for the Challenge #14 at Double Trouble.
Trouble Maker wants to see a Winter or Christmas card; for Twisted Sister there are 3 gems hanging from the moose's antlers; and to make Double Dare happy, I am using the color green, lots of trees and a portion of a recycled Christmas card to fulfill the plaid portion of the Tic Tac Tuesday Challenge at Try Stamping on Tuesday.

The little moose is a CTMH stamp, stamped on kraft paper and fussy cut.  The dies for the trees are from MFT.
*If you are wondering where my second card for the Double Trouble Challenge is, it is in the previous post.

Beccy's Month of Holiday Cards: Day 12

After throwing in a Bingo Challenge yesterday, Beccy's Place Month of Holiday Cards Challenge is back to the alphabet and the letter "J".  Today I'm using one of Beccy's sentiment digis for my card, a string of lights die cut and some retired CTMH paper and cardboard elements.

Beccy's Month of Holiday Cards: Day 10

"I" is an interesting letter with which to inspire a Christmas card for Beccy's Month of Holiday Cards Challenge.  Luckily I have one of Beccy's digital images which features an ice skate.
